This position exists to successfully execute projects/initiatives in an information systems (IS) department(s). Coordinates team or group activities through direct and indirect staff. Directs team in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices. Participates in budgeting and capital equipment processes and quality improvement activities for the organization. Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner and has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing projects and programs. Project Management and Supervision: Manage own functional area and successfully execute quality projects/initiatives that fall under that area. Contribute to IS project planning for one or more business areas; review progress toward plan regularly with clients and make modifications, as necessary; provide quantitative cost/benefit analyses. Insure team is following work, documentation, certification, and audit requirements, as needed. Project Management and Supervision: Set direction for and assign responsibilities to technical and non-technical individuals on projects or cross-functional team. Proactively partner with technical advisors and consultants during execution of plan. Customer Relationship Management: Consult with customer during execution of projects to ensure needs are being met. Ensure team collaboration and remove obstacles to accomplishment of project components. Develop services and service level agreements (SLAs); educate customers on service related information and continually improve related processes. Financial Analysis, budgeting and reporting: Perform IS capital analysis to understand financial impact to the business and the appropriation process. Develop and manage budgetary responsibilities. Requirements Management: Work with business clients to drive out requirements; responsible for issue management, scope control and risk mitigation. Leadership and Team Development: Set team goals and objectives based on business knowledge and customer requirements; ensure achievement of those objectives; discuss and support career goals of work group(s); deliver all phases of performance management program. Actively participate in recruitment and selection processes. Commitment to ensuring teams adheres to the highest degree of integrity and Code of Conduct standards.
