The Remand Manager provides direct line management to two Senior Clinicians, one at each dedicated remand location  in the region - MRC and MAP. The Remand Manager is responsible for service delivery, management and strategic functions of both MAP and MRC OBP teams. In addition to the functions at MRC and MAP, the Remand Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of OBP service delivery to women of remand at DPFC. The Remand Manager also interfaces with the Therapeutic Services team at Port Phillip Prison, which accommodates remand prisoners. The key function of this interface is to ensure a consistent model of OBP services to remandees across the NWM Region. The Remand Manager reports directly to the OBP Regional Manager, North West Metro Region, and interfaces with the MRC and MAP prison General Managers where appropriate.

The role will also provide professional advice and consultation on other relevant clinical issues at these locations, and will contribute to the interface with contracted services such as St Vincents and Forensicare, to build consistency of care at the locations. Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: regional business planning for remand services; performance management and clinical supervision of direct reports; contribution to recruitment and retention strategies; service delivery planning; contribution to OBP Head Office reporting; Clinical local operating procedures; process and system development and implementation of strategies and Statewide initiatives. As part of a broader Statewide OBP Senior Team, the Remand Manager will also attend Statewide Senior OBP Meetings, and NWMR OBP Leadership meetings, relevant strategic senior working groups and contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of OBP.
The OBP Remand Manager should be an allied health professional with experience in working with complex clients (preferably forensic/correctional clients) and experience in the provision of clinical supervision to staff. They should also have experience in managing and leading a clinical team, meeting service delivery outcomes and KPIs, program development and delivery, quality assurance and other executive functions and experience in strategically managing multiple locations. The OBP Remand Manager will also have experience in the management and integration of clinical and other allied health services.
