Job Description
As Manager of Cost Engineering you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing the central Cost Engineering Team.
- Establishing standards and processes for effective management of costs.
- Management and maintenance of budget and forecast costs.
- Developing and maintaining timely and accurate cost performance reports and earned value.
- Establishing a change management system to maintain program baseline information, (including direct costs, contingencies and VAT), and to maintain funds control.
- Provide guidance and support to Cost Engineering staff on how to analyse project data and provide detailed cost and schedule variance analysis information.
- Provide Project Controls' mentoring and training to Cost Engineering staff.
- Provide assistance to project team members to understand project controls requirements.
- Maintain Project Controls Procedures and document processes to ensure consistency throughout the Program
The Successful Applicant
With a cost or scheduling background within an engineering field you will possess a minimum of 10 years major construction project experience working in cost control environment. On site project experience is highly regarded and degree qualifications in a technical discipline such as engineering or science is essential. It will also be highly regarded if you have set-up cost management systems and have a proven experience in leading a team.
