Manager of Fund Administration
Position requires 5 to 6 years experience working for a Public Accounting Firm, plus a degree in Accounting
Co lead Fund Administration Group
- Responsible for overall disclosure, accuracy and integrity of quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial statements.
- Assist in developing and monitoring internal controls over financial reporting, including sub-certifications from third party service providers.
- Coordinate all fair valuation related tasks and work with the valuation committee to properly determine fair value prices, when necessary.
- Review and approve all financial data contained in prospectus and SAI updates.
- Review and approve all NSAR filings, 24F-2 filings and NCSR filings.
- Assist in the preparation of all tax reporting and analysis (including tax provisions) for the funds. This will also include working closely with the Tax Director.
- Ensure that all monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual dividends and distributions are properly calculated and distributed according to the funds policies.
- Responsible for daily oversight procedures administered by the firms Fund Administration group on a daily and monthly basis.
- Recommend and implement new policies and procedures, enhancements of internal controls, improvements of workflow approaches/methods and systems enhancements.
- Assist in the development of a training program for all levels of fund administration staff.
- Monitor third party relationships; establish minimum service levels and reporting requirements.
- Work with outside printers on all shareholder reports.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of various business initiatives (mergers, liquidations, fund launches, etc.). This would include liaising with other internal areas and external service providers to bring new products to market.
- Review open-end and closed-end press releases for accuracy.
- Special projects, as requested.
