Institutional Banking Markets (IBM) is responsible for the provision of products and services to nearly 3000 major corporate, institutional and government clients. This is achieved through origination, structuring and execution of on and off balance sheet products that are enhanced through the efficient application of taxation, accounting, risk and capital management technologies. Institutional Banking Markets is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions for the Bank's corporate and government clients.
CommBiz is a market leading online business banking solution that caters for the needs of small businesses to large corporate customers. The CommBiz channel processes a significant portion of Australia's payroll and other payment types, including BPAY, Priority Payments, Money Markets, International Money transfers and Direct Debit.
Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to further develop our Online offer, progressing from a relatively simple set of existing customer requirements and access methods, into a world leading environment offering a variety of value adding interactions. Customer expectations are rapidly shifting in relation to Online demands, requiring greater capability, and differing preferences. CBA needs to be able to deliver the best innovation in the market and continue to ensure positive differentiation to maintain our leading technology position.
This role will produce quality strategic analysis, managing the development pipeline and fostering the implementation of the most important features on time, on budget and with the highest quality. Key elements of the role will be the analysis of different market and product opportunities, feasibility analysis and where appropriate, business case development for specific initiatives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Fostering close working relationships with other business units, Business Products and Development teams and where relevant, parties external to banking Products and third party suppliers.
- Build and manage strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to jointly develop the medium and longer term product and market strategies
- Analysis of commercial and financial feasibility of specific initiatives within Banking Products as they relate to Channel activity
- Ensure we have aligned initiatives to Channel and the CBS strategy
- Liaise with stakeholders in Banking Products, Sales and other internal divisions of the Bank as necessary, to understand their requirements and ensure business initiatives reflect these objectives
- Be accountable for and liaise with Group Security and Fraud Risk to ensure we continue to offer a secure online channel to customers
- Be accountable for and liaise with the Legal and Compliance teams to ensure the new products and features adhere to relevant laws and compliance rules
- Be accountable for the project and operational budget management for the CommBiz team.
- Ensure the best usage of resources by fostering the implementation of new features on time, on budget and with the highest quality.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A business related qualification
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the Financial Services industry and Online Banking market
- Strong team management, stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Development of Business Strategy
- Financial and Business Case modelling
- Strong business writing skills
- Program Management skills
- Ability to communicate and present complex matters in a concise form to all stakeholders
- Budget management skills
- Good understanding of IT and development life cycle applicable to Online Channel management
- Good understanding of internet security issues
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to quickly identify economic and business issues
- Good knowledge of the different products utilised by Business, Corporate and Institutional customers
