We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager, Operations Regulatory Control
In this role, you will
- To assist the manager in setting up the team and manage ad hoc projects to ensure the ongoing success in establishment and evolvement of the team to satisfy the need in the regulatory space.
- Work closely with Compliance, IT and Operations to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
- Provide the manager with assistance on managing pre and post implementation of projects as they occur
- Provide the manager with assistance on adhoc projects where needed
- Provide information and assistance to the business when changes are required by the regulators.
- Educate the business on any changes to Trade and Transaction reporting
- Develop, maintain, and improve where possible, the daily and monthly MI reports
- To help the existing members of the team in the day to day process and controls in Trade and Transaction Reporting
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
Education
- A degree holder in any discipline.
Experience
- Previous experience of Operations / Regulatory Controls / Project management within an Investment Bank
- Experience within Global Markets functions would be a distinct advantage
Skills
- Evidence of active participation in establishing and managing effective Operational Risk.
- Evidence of running and managing projects/ initiatives / reviews
- Strong people management experience
- Advanced negotiation skills and the ability to achieve results through diplomacy
- Excellent PC skills such as Microsoft Access Excel
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationship with the business areas supported and continuously give feedback through stringent follow up
- A sound understanding of the different Global Markets products e.g. FX, Money Markets, Derivatives and Securities
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Technical / IT understanding of how systems deliver regulatory reports is desirable
