The Active Network is looking for a well-organized, disciplined, accountable, committed, focused and self-motivated Manager of Project Management for our growing Global Project Management Office (GPMO). The Manager will lead a distributed team of Scrum Masters and Project Managers working on a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects. The successful candidate will have extensive project and program management experience, as well as experience leading and supervising a team of more than 8 project managers.

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, oversight and administrative supervision to a team of 8 to 10 project managers
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the project management function and run team meetings
- Monitor project deliverables and dependencies, and address issues as they arise
- Assess risks, develop issue mitigation plans and track issues to resolution
- Assign, prioritize and balance project work to align with the goals and objectives of the business
- Review and approve project schedules and work plans
- Assist team members in their duties, tasks, responsibilities and functions
- Gather status metrics, lessons learned and retrospectives data
- Report program/portfolio status to senior executives
- Create, mature and enforce GPMO standards, best practices
- Recruit, coach, develop and support GPMO resources
- Act as the communication hub between and among projects managers and other functions
- Drive the completion of projects and efforts
- Support system deployment activities
- Set yearly performance goals and conduct reviews
- Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or related major
- Minimum 10 years of project/program management experience, preferably in new product development
- Minimum 2 years supervising a team of 8 or more project managers
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Expert knowledge of both traditional/waterfall and agile software development methodologies
- Experience with distributed teams and the utilization of near or offshore development resources
- Accustomed to delivering projects and products in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead without formal authority
- Detail-oriented with high personal standards
- Strong work ethic, commitment, persistence and determination
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Out of state travel could be required on a quarterly basis. Relocation and immigration sponsorship support is not available for this position.
