About the role
Reporting to the Director, Data Management, the individual will be responsible for supporting and assisting the day-to-day management of the FTSE Research Analytics database, as well as ongoing and new projects.
Key areas of responsibility are:
- Ensuring the RA database has all the functionality required for the completion of daily FTSE production procedures to strict deadlines
- Ensuring usage of available data sources is maximised across FTSE
- Researching the requirements and then liaising with all parties to create and maintain momentum on new projects, ensuring that projects are kept on track through to implementation
What we are looking for from you
- Working knowledge of global financial markets and products, incorporating indices is essential
- Experience within the financial services industry, ideally in an analytical role
- Experience of working to deadlines and managing workloads effectively
- Working knowledge of Datastream, Reuters, Factset and Bloomberg
- Education to degree level or equivalent financial qualification
- Experience within fund management or securities industry
- Experienced with using Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel
- Numerate with highly developed analytical and research skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Foreign business language skills an advantage, although not essential
- Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable with flexible hours
- Team player
