Transitions

My client is a leading investment manager based in the city of London, currently looking for a transitions analyst to join a project that the team are working on.
This position is for an individual who is primarily dealing with transitioning assets into and out of the client funds.

Key responsibilities: -

· Liaising with custodians and other fund management houses to ensure that accurate information on clients' portfolios as quickly as possible in the transition process to enable a smooth and timely transition.
· Providing information to and assisting the Transition Managers and other portfolio managers to enable them to manage clients' investments in a risk controlled and efficient manner.
· Monitoring the settlement of transition free of payment trades and cash movements on client accounts.
· Ensure corporate actions are accurately tracked during transitions.
· Attending client, consultant and custodian meetings and calls and where necessary initiating and leading them.
· Recording all important transition activity for reporting and audit trail purposes.

Skills required: -

· Great communication skills.
· Thorough attention to detail.
· Ability to multi task and work to deadlines.
· General understanding of SWIFT messaging and free of payment trades.
· Understanding of Transition Management.
· General understanding of the reconciliation process and its importance in transitions.
· Understanding of stamp duties on free of payment transactions and their collection.
