Manager, Revenue Forecasting and Policy recruitment

Reporting to the Director, Treasury Office is responsible for providing comprehensive and strategic advice on revenue policy, tax policy, development charge policy and project financing, and for the modelling and analysis necessary to support that advice.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline, or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five (5) years progressively responsible experience in a large multi-divisional organization including experience in modelling, forecasting, analysis and public policy development and demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience.
- Excellent communication skills for writing reports, developing recommendations and making presentations to all levels of the corporation, including Committees of Council.
- Ability to manage relationships with a wide range of government and professional stakeholders.
- Management competencies including results/achievement focus, human resources management, leadership, financial management, business planning, decision making/judgment, representation and professionalism and job knowledge.
- Expertise in writing analytical reports/studies with demonstrated ability to identify problems, analyze and interpret data, and make evidence-based recommendations.
- Sound knowledge of financial and economic principles and practices as well as a broad knowledge of general management concepts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret and explain relevant regulations, guidelines, procedures, standards and legislation.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self management, accountability, and flexibility/adaptability.
- Contemporary staff supervisory and human resource management skills, knowledge of collective agreement administration and interpretation, and labour relations principles and practices.
- Strong report writing, research, analytical and project management skills.
- Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications with advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, database, presentation and wordprocessing software.
- Ability to understand and manage complex policy issues.
- Ability to attend at off site locations in a timely and efficient manner, as required.
- Ability to work outside regular hours as required
