Manager Risk Management - Consumer Card Job

This position is within the Customer Management Team within the Consumer Card Risk Management Organization. The team?s focus is to manage the credit performance of customers throughout their tenure at American Express. In this role, you will be responsible for developing best in class strategies to limit portfolio losses for consumer lending cards. This role will focus on line management actions as applied to risky lending customers. You will analyze data to develop and deploy line reduction strategies, build flawless execution capabilities, develop a cohesive CM experience, and track the success of your recommendations. This role will require you to balance the needs of the customer, the Amex phone representative while meeting shareholder goals. You will work in a dynamic cross functional environment interacting with and influencing senior leaders, partners in Risk Management, Operations, Technology, Finance, Compliance and Customer Experience. American Express is an equal opportunity employer. - Strong Analytical and Project Management skills with the ability to manage multiple business priorities within tight timelines - Ability to think creatively and apply both quantitative methods and business skills to drive results - Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a cross functional environment - SQL and/or SAS programming skills required - Advanced degree or experience in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research, Engineering etc. - Knowledge of credit card industry and Amex is preferred.
