We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our team as a Project Manager, Tax.
Relocation assistance to Madison, WI will be provided for the ideal candidate!
Job Responsibilities
Primary
- Performs complicated tax research and data analysis to identify and implement tax planning ideas.
- Reviews significant tax elements of GAAP and Statutory accounting and ensures adherence to tax accounting policy.
- Assists in identifying changes to accounting policy.
- Prepares and reviews simple and complex tax return elements.
- Manages a significant process or project within the Tax Department and ensures timely, accurate and complete performance.
- Manages significant process improvements.
- Regularly participates in day-to-day interaction with external parties including but not limited to IRS, external auditors, regulatory bodies and vendors.
Other
- May manage external resources including consulting and outsourcing engagements and will indirectly manage others within tax.
- Identifies potential control weaknesses and takes action to remedy.
- Leads tax integration efforts for specific subject process or matter.

Job Requirements
1. Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience;
2. Masters in Taxation, JD in Taxation or designation as CPA or CFA;
3. 6 years experience in a corporate tax department or national public accounting firm;
4. Demonstrated capability to make good knowledge-based decisions and ability to evaluate situations in the absence of complete information;
5. Proven ability to interact with, advise and influence peers, senior tax leadership and external parties;
6. Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate technical tax information into understandable and actionable information; and
7. Capability to prioritize workload and manage most conflicts to successful resolution.
