Manager – Risk Management, Asia (Regional Office) recruitment
This established life insurer, with a strong presence in Europe and Asia, is seeking looking to secure an experience Risk manager to lead their established local team.
This position will facilitate the transfer of knowledge and expertise to our joint ventures and vice versa especially in the domains of operational risk management.
Key Responsibilities -
- Responsible for coordinating, aligning and consolidating all the comments from regional offices on Group policies to Head office and communicating back to regional office risk team of any new policies and methodologies from Head office
- Assist in the built-up of a sound risk management within the insurance JV
- Implementing the risk management framework for Asia
- To support representatives in the joint ventures with expertise in risk governance and risk modelling.
- To aim for consistency of risk governance and risk modelling throughout the region, and compliant with company principles
- Contribute to risk reporting (KRR, CRSA, Solvency, LAT, MCEV, VNB, ORSA, financial risk reporting, operation risk reporting etc…)
- To report to supervisor on the risk exposures for the insurance operation activities in Asia.
- Organizing exchange of information and best practices throughout the region
- Project support and management, determined by regional office and representatives in the joint venture, where transfer of knowledge, experiences, products, software are needed
Required knowledge and experience
- Part/Qualified actuary or Risk related qualification (such as FRM)
- 5-6 years of experience in actuarial, risk management preferably from international insurer
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Good coordinator with well communication skills and cultural awareness
- Able to work independently
