The Manager Risk Management is responsible for Methodist Dallas Medical Center's Risk Management activities which include administering the risk management program on a day to day basis, managing and analyzing risk management data, conducting Root Cause Analysis, conducting risk management education programs, and complying with the Joint Commission's risk management-related standards, CMS Conditions of Participation (CoP's), and other regulatory agencies' risk management-related standards. The Manager Risk Management serves as the patient safety officer and coordinates the patient safety program. As part of the risk management program, the Manager Risk Management will coordinate the system for tracking, categorizing, and responding to patient complaints.
Requirements include:
* Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Healthcare or related field required (waiver may be granted for equivalent experience, knowledge, and skills with approval)Master preferred
* If RN, current license to practice professional nursing in Texas
* 3 plus years Risk Management related experience
* Certification in Risk Management is preferred. If not certified, must be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of eligibility.
* Prior leadership experience preferred
* Prior successful physician relations
* Experience leading teams and implementing strategies developed by teams.
