The Team
The Group Risk - Wealth Risk Manament team is responsible for ensuring that the CBA risk framework operates effectively within Wealth Management. This includes providing risk management and compliance support to the Wealth Management divisions covering Colonial First State, Colonial First State Global Asset Management, CommInsure, and WM support functions.
The Role
This role supports the Colonial First State strategy by assisting the business with the implementation of a risk management framework that supports a balance between risk and return within risk appetite. In addition, the role provides the business with the confidence to operate and grow within appropriate governance requirements and is a key enabler for the business to achieve their objectives.
Main Duties
- Participate, as a key leader within the Risk Management Compliance Team, and assist in the development and implementation of a leading practice risk management framework.
- Provide trusted advice on the optimal (balancing risk and return) treatment of key operational risks.
- Facilitate the implementation of appropriate compliance processes and practices to ensure compliance obligations are well understood across the business, embedded into business processes, monitored appropriately and subject to review at least annually
- Monitor and report on the operational risk and compliance profile.
Experience Required
- Extensive operational risk or compliance experience ideally from the wealth management industry.
- Strong working knowledge of the funds management financial advice regulatory environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, influence negotiate.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
