The Team
The Valuations and Secured Loss team manages the Home Loan valuation, credit investigation strategy and loss reporting/mitigation strategies.
The Role
Support management in the identification, development and implementation of changes to the secured loss prevention strategies within RBS in order to optimise risk and reward. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of fraud detection strategies, provision/loss reporting, scorecard implementation and loss mitigation strategies.
Main Duties
- Investigation, analysis and reporting of provisions and losses.
- Process/policy gap identification and driving remediation strategies.
- Production of analytics to identify risks and opportunities within the secured credit investigation processes and strategy, ensuring quality of the highest standard.
- Development of models to enhance current secured loss detection strategies
- Adhoc analytics to supporting management decision making. Accountable for accuracy and timeliness of delivery.
- Provision of proactive input on secured credit investigation processes and strategy.
- Making observations based on analytical reports produced.
Experience Required
- Experience in credit with a financial institution
- Knowledge of SAS, SQL or equivalent statistical tools.
- Report writing and Presentation skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business/Finance/Statistics/Economic or other related area.
