About the role
As a Manager /Senior Manager, Compliance, you will consult with and advise key stakeholders within MSG to ensure Macquarie continues to meet the obligations of its regulatory and compliance framework. An experienced compliance practitioner, your ability to engage, consult with and influence senior stakeholders will be critical to your success.
Key responsibilities:
- providing advice to the business on compliance implications arising from business changes (e.g. New Products) and regulatory change
- reviewing, updating and implementing policies and procedures as required
- managing and delivering on compliance projects and monitoring programs
- regulatory enquiry and incident management advice, resolution and reporting
- promoting awareness of compliance
- liaising with other members of the MSG-aligned Compliance team globally to ensure effective support of MSG's businesses (Delta 1, Cash Sales and Trading, Principal Trading, Research, Equity Finance)
About you
- resilient personality and be highly self motivated with the ability to make things happen
- tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Finance, Law or another related discipline;
- demonstrable compliance experience - those with institutional equity market experience will be favourably regarded, as will those who have been working in the Australia market and who are across the vast regulatory change being undertaken in the Australian equities market
- persuasive communication skills, both written and oral
- experience with regulators and industry bodies such as ASIC, ASX and AFMA.
About us
The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for assessing and monitoring risks across Macquarie. This includes market and liquidity risk, credit risk, compliance risk and operational risk. RMG personnel liaise closely with all operating areas to ensure risks are understood and properly managed.
This role also has the ability to gain exposure to the FICC market, with the MSG team and the FICC team working closely.
