Manager, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting - $115K
Job Description:
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient Big 4 Audit Manager to manage their technical accounting issues.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare 10-K's, 10-Q's, press release and other SEC documents.
· Provide technical accounting support to the business units and corporate accounting groups.
· Monitor financial reporting and accounting issues as released by the SEC, FASB and other technical authorities.
· Specific areas of interest are revenue recognition, joint ventures and strategic partnerships and restructuring / exit costs.
· Review business unit financials with BU Controllers, CFO's and GM's and provide business unit and corporate level decision support with respect to the financial impact of the transaction / strategy.
· Present impact of significant accounting issues to executives.
· Provide training on new or existing accounting standards to company employees.
Requirements:
· BS Degree in Accounting or related field / Certified Public Accountant required
· 5+ years of public accounting experience from a Big Four practice or a combination of public/private with relevant experience
· Solid knowledge of GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
· Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word preferred
