My client is a boutique advisory firm that specialises in providing commercial, markets and regulatory services to clients in the global energy and infrastructure markets.
The Role
The Managing Consultant will join the an arm of the business that focuses on providing strategic analysis and MA services for Funds (including large infrastructure funds, pension funds, wealth funds), private investors along with global energy organisations. The position will involve the Managing Consultant taking a lead role in the provision of commercial strategic consulting for various projects on behalf on these clients. Commercial strategic consulting will include the need for exceptional knowledge of UK Power and Utilities markets including and understanding of assets involved in this industry from a contractual, regulatory and risk, project development perspective whilst also focusing on financial aspects (CAPEX and Project Finance).
As with any Strategic Consulting role, this position will also require business development to have the motivation to go and win business and projects from these type of clients and to build relationships and continue the reputation of this already successful team.
My client is seeking an autonomous individual who is highly motivated and hands on to utilise their experience of UK Power and Utilities markets to work as a number two within this team and lead by example.
The Person
- Extensive knowledge (10+ years) of UK Power and Utilities markets including working on or providing advisory services in relation to Power Generation acquisitions / financings. (Conventional and Renewable).
- Strong analytical capabilities - including the interpretation of commercial, economic and financial analysis.
- Strong experience of client proposal preparation and delivering pitches.
- Experience of Risk Appraisal and Project Development processes involved in Power Generation projects.
