Managing Director – Corporate Services recruitment
NEST is a new workplace pension scheme being set-up to give millions of low to moderate earners access to low-cost pension savings, as part of the Government’s pension reforms. The reforms will require employers to automatically-enrolled their eligible workers into pension saving, beginning in October 2012. NEST is a pension that any employer can use to meet their new duties and in time it will become one of the UK’s largest pension schemes.
As part of the Executive Team of NEST, this role will be responsible for ensuring NEST Corporation’s infrastructure functions provide the strategic and operational support that NEST requires to run effectively. Over the next 5 years, NEST will need to bring on around one million participating employers, growing from its current size of a few thousand members to a scheme of several million. This represents a major organisational development challenge as we continue to develop from a start-up through towards organisational maturity, and the successful candidate will play a lead role in helping us to meet that challenge.
NEST places considerable emphasis on the quality of governance and transparency in its dealings with customers, and this role will be critical in ensuring that NEST is well governed in practice, working closely with the Chair and the Trustee Member Board. The key functions this role will be accountable for are Human Resources, Facilities, Internal Comms Engagement, Audit, Compliance, Governance, Secretariat and IT.
If you have previous experience of successfully delivering infrastructure services which meet strategic corporate objectives, we'd like to hear from you.
