Managing Director, Head of China Venture Capital Relationship Manager (Beijing)
Job Description:
Head up all Venture Capital Relationship Management related business in China that includes:
- Lead and manages a wide range of venture capital and PE firm client relationships.
- Leads efforts within assigned client firms to source qualified leads and opportunities for all lines of business within Financial Group to propose and close.
- Be accountable for the China VCRM team in delivering its goals
- Support and expand the Funds business with voting seats on investment committees
- Collaborates with personnel from all lines of business to develop and manage the execution of Strategic Relationship Plans with objective of maximizing creation of value for clients, penetration of offerings, and gross profit growth and yield for the Financial Group.
- Develops high value strategic relationships with objective to gain allocations in funds targeted for investment by our client.
- Manages internal and external conflict resolution affecting assigned clients.
- Develops complex and creative solutions to client needs. Interacts with clients, referrals and prospects independently.
- Develops and maintains a network in the venture capital and PE community and develops referral sources for new clients, investment opportunities, and sources of revenue
Requirements:
- Demonstrated leadership capability.
- Deep experiences in the China VC/PE markets, with extensive network in the community
- Ability to be effective in building deep relationships with GPs at VC and PE firms
- Ability to contribute on the investments of the funds
- Ability to analyze client challenges, develops conceptual solutions, and negotiates in support of line of business personnel.
- Ability to balance line of business organizational objectives to provide the most valued solution for clients, while maximizing revenue for the Financial Group.
- Expertise in expanding opportunities in a cross selling context, and coordinating across functional as required.
- Can provide training and leadership to junior staff.
- Provides guidance on approach to cross-selling.
- Experience: 12+ years of related selling experience. Strong negotiation and marketing skills.
- Good closing skills.
