Description

CenterSquare Invevestment Management is an investment manager specializing in U.S. and Global REITs, and Value-Added and Core Private Equity Real Estate Investments.

Reporting to the Head of the Private Real Estate, our successful candidate will assume primary responsibility for raising capital for the firm's private equity real estate strategies. While serving as a senior member of the private real estate management team, the candidate will focus on cultivating new investor relationships across the pension fund, endowment and foundation and sovereign wealth fund communities. In addition to cultivating new relationships, the candidate will coordinate with the firm's Global Head of Client Service and Marketing to leverage the firm's existing institutional relationships located within its listed real estate securities group and across the firm's global corporate parent. He/She will establish a prioritized list of potential investors, and cultivate that group in addition to developing the appropriate consultant relationships. This person will work as the liaison with the private real estate team on the design and development of domestic sales/marketing initiatives, including the prioritization of target client segments and the development of appropriate real estate products. It is important that the Managing Director of Capital Strategy establish strong relationships with our client's senior management team, in addition to the operating partners, to help formulate capital raising strategies and ultimately implement those successfully. Furthermore, this individual will leverage the firm's resources to respond to new business proposals (RFPs) from both consultants and investors. As part of his/her relationship management mandate, the successful candidate will engage in a wide range of responsibilities including organizing client events and maintaining the investor relations database, to the preparation of marketing materials and drafting of portfolio performance reviews.

Qualifications

With approximately 15 years of experience, the successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record in raising capital for real estate investment management. Today, the person could be working in another real estate investment manager, or possibly for a placement agent. This position requires experience in, and knowledge of, the real estate capital markets (public and private, debt and equity) as well as established relationships with a broad spectrum of investors and consultants. This person will be creative and self motivated in sourcing and structuring capital to sustain our client's growth. Experience and contacts in the targeted investor community is an important qualification for this position. Our successful candidate will possess good presentation skills, coupled with polished written and verbal communication skills. In order to be a good cultural fit, this person must be intelligent, team-oriented, hard working, and assume a hands-on approach to the business.
