Managing Director recruitment
The incumbent will ensure that QNB Capital personnel provide a high quality of service and ensure that the needs of clients are met in accordance with prevailing practices.
Essential Duties Responsibilities by Dimensions:
A. Shareholder Financial:
- Assists the CEO with preparing the strategic and business development plans for QNB Capital.
- Assists the CEO with implementing the strategy and business plan of QNB Capital.
- Adheres to the best practice processes and procedures established within QNB Capital.
- Assists the CEO with the setting of pricing structures for QNB Capital services.
- Identifies new business opportunities.
B. Customer (Internal External):
- Leads the origination of new transactions including identifying opportunities and the preparation and delivery of pitches.
- Maintains relationships with existing clients and secures new relationships.
- Provides timely and accurate information to the regulator, external and internal auditors, Group Compliance, and Group Risk as and when required.
C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
- Provides technical expertise and guidance to the QNB Capital team.
- Obtains approval for dealing with clients and for individual transactions as necessary.
- Assists the CEO in managing conflicts of interests pertaining to clients and transactions.
- Approves and issues mandate letters and proposals.
- Assigns QNB Capital team members to transactions as required.
- Reviews and approves deliverables issued to clients.
- Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, prevailing practices and regulations pertaining to QNB Capital.
- Assists the CEO in managing and monitoring QNB Capital’s risk profile.
- Acts within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
- Assists the CEO in implementing any action plans to address control weaknesses or compliance issues noted by the Group Internal Audit Department, external auditors, regulators, or Group Compliance.
D. Learning Knowledge:
- Manages, coaches and motivates the QNB Capital team to enhance service quality and meet assigned financial and non-financial targets.
- Identifies areas for professional development of self and other staff.
E. Other:
- Ensures high standards of confidentiality and ethics to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors or higher degree, preferably in a relevant discipline such as Economics, Law, Accounting.
- A minimum of 15 years experience at a senior level within an investment bank or professional services team.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English.
