DescriptionAn experienced Technical Specialist is needed to work on the Component Prep Team. The position requires working effectively with mechanical engineers, process engineers, electrical engineers, plant engineering and production personnel, and engineering consultants, to develop, evaluate, install, and troubleshoot automated gauging systems on calendering and extrusion process lines, and automated component manufacturing equipment. The individual must have a high aptitude for creative thinking, as well as a strong desire to work on the application of automated gauging systems to tire and rubber manufacturing processes. National and international travel is a requirement. Business travel may account for 20 to 30% of this individual's time. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of 15 years experience working with automated gauging and reporting systems, in an industrial environment. Experience should demonstrate an aptitude for creative thinking, communication skills, leadership, and the ability to work as a team member. Computer skills should include MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint. A general knowledge of rubber processing and experience with industrial rubber industry extruders and/or calenders is also preferred.
