Manufacturing Engineer Job in Daventry NN118NU, Midlands UK
In this challenging role you will take the lead on supporting the QSKV and large Vee cylinder block machining line.
The position will report to the Block Line Performance Cell Leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Manufacturing Engineering support for production – Day to day support for process, tooling and quality issues.
•Use of quality tools – Take the lead in FMEA’s, 7-Step problem solving to assist in the increase of RFT on the line.
•Process development – Analyse current processes, develop and implement capacity increase/cost reduction projects.
•Cost control: Control departmental budget and look at ways of cost reduction.
•Capital Investment – Lead major capital investment projects for new tooling/machinery.
•Working with suppliers – Assist suppliers to block line in achieving agreed capacity targets.
•Presentation skills – Conduct presentations to senior management on block line related projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum HNC or preferably Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•Sound Engineering experience preferably in a complex Machining environment.
•PC Literate.
•Man management experience.
•Data gathering Analysis skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills good communicator.
