Manufacturing Manager

 

Responsibilities:

 

Ø  Manage all product line production activities to ensure the manufacture of the high quality product in the most cost effective manner

Ø  Work closely with tech-transfer and scale-up to ensure a smooth transition into manufacturing and final product release

Ø  Interface and / or lead large scale, capital equipment, and validation projects

Ø  Ensure production schedule is met by utilizing resources

Ø  Act as a liaison with other groups to include Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Product Development and Sales to improve the efficiency of operations

Ø  Identify productivity improvements using Demand Flow Technology (DFT), Kaizen, Six Sigma, and other Lean Manufacturing techniques

Ø  As a valued member of the management team, establish production and quality standards, write SOPs, and promote positive company image

 

Requirements:

 

Ø  Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific Discipline with 5-7 years of manufacturing experience in a sterile / aseptic GMP environment.  Advanced degree including MBA a plus.

Ø  Supervisory experience is required and must have the ability to lead and influence others to gain consensus

Ø  Thorough understanding of budgetary and cost controls with a strong financial acumen

Ø  Ability to achieve or exceed customer expectations relative to product specifications, quality, on-time delivery and overall superior customer service skills

Ø  Strong computer skills including quality systems

Ø  Must have a passion for creating and promoting improvement to meet and exceed safety goals, quality goals, financial goals and operational excellence
