Summary of ideal candidate:

This individual will have a background in manufacturing with experience in supervisor machining and/ or assembly workers and has used lean tools.  They are action oriented, able to multi-task, look for continuous improvement and engage employees at all levels of the organization.

Essential Duties Responsibilities:

Ø  Responsible for coordinating the activities of employees engaged in the production of fluid related products (ie: pumps, meters, etc.)

Ø  Maintain hour by hour production charts and facilitate real time problem solving in area of non conformance

Ø  Communicate and audit to house safety standards and assure that they are adhered to.

Ø  Updates Standard Work as needed and audits performance to standard work and takes action as necessary to correct discrepancies

Ø  Facilitate and lead continuous activities on a daily basis in their value stream

Ø  Coordinates with the Manufacturing Engineer the purchase of equipment and supplies pertaining to the value streams manufacturing needs

Ø  Coordinates with the Demand Analyst to ensure inventory targets for the value stream are being achieved

Ø  Ensures activities of all employees are aligned to the department’s Policy Deployment goals

Ø  Develops and maintains relationships with all personnel to create an environment for sustainable success.

 

Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:

Ø  Hands on utilization of lean tools (kanban, etc.)

Ø  Computer skills:  MS Office knowledge needed

Ø  Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively

Education Requirements:

Ø  Bachelors or Associates degree in a management, POM, industrial or engineering discipline preferred

Experience Requirements

Ø  Five plus years experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably machining and assembly) with at least three years in a Leadership role

Physical Demands:

Ø  Manufacturing environment –  CNC Machining and assembly

Ø  Desk located in the value stream – Temperature range from 70 – 95 degrees

Ø  Lifting requirements – occasionally lifting of 5 pounds
