(Marine) Survey and Claims Coordinator recruitment
Major accountabilities:
• When requested by clients, liaise between third parties and client base in relation to the fulfilment of any instruction submitted
• Support the team in conducting an ongoing quality control exercise in respect of the survey reports, claims adjustments issued and recovery files handled by agents.
• As part of the team assist by responding pro-actively to any complaint received in an attempt to resolve the issue and secure the continued support of the client
• Assist in identifying and leveraging new business opportunities in the area of surveys and the management of claims both in London and overseas and assist in the general marketing activities of the Department when required to do so
• Ensure that departmental initiatives in the area of claims management are able to “interface” with my client’s initiatives in the management of claims
• Participate and contribute to monthly network management meetings
• Assist in the analysis and verification of an Agents capabilities (as and when requested to do so by a client)
• Assist the Controller and Deputy Controller of Agencies and other departmental managers when required
Your skills knowledge and experience:-
• A good working knowledge of marine claims either from a claims handling, claims broking or surveying perspective. Geographical exposure to India, China and Japan is advantageous.
• A confident communicator with very good written and verbal skills coupled with the ability to work with personnel at all levels of seniority
• A clear understanding of the expectations of claims professionals in the content of survey reports, claims adjustments and the handling of recovery files
• Experience of project work, primarily information gathering
• Previous experience of summarising information / data
• A good knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
