We are seeking to fill the role of a Direct Market Access Support Officer in our Sydney office, reporting in to our Head of DMAAPAC in Singapore. This role is a newly created role and the aim of this role is to provide trader support for our clients and remote Market Access customers.
In this role your main Responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure smooth running of the trading systems (minimising downtime) by regular contact with the system Vendors, our IT department and traders where appropriate. Oversee trading activities in the event of “downtime”
- Liaise and communicate with senior managers where appropriate
- Work with manager to develop processes for effective running of Trader Support Processes as well as working on regional and global MA projects.
- Set up new traders and remove old traders from the trading systems enabling accounts, and connecting keys etc where required.
- Strong working knowledge of Pre Trade Risk Control limits for clients using Vendor systems and proprietary Order Management Systems
- Responsible for risk limit administration in accordance to agreed procedures between the risk department in Sydney, regional and head office
- Make functional changes that need to be made to the systems on a day to day basis
- Proactive ownership of client requests in an effective and productive manner, until a satisfactory resolution is achieved
- Point of contact for Vendor’s with regards to enhancements and to provide feedback
- Strong understanding of current regulatory requirements and impact of forthcoming regulatory changes
- Promote new Market Access business solutions and build good relationships with existing clients
- Keep Risk department informed of any information that would help them in performing their duties
- Ensure smooth contract expiries with close attention paid to client positions
- Produced accurate billing on a monthly basis
Preferred Experience, Expertise Skills:
- Good understanding of Financial Markets, regulations and trading practices
- Good understanding of the functionality surrounding Pre Trade Risk Control
- Accuracy and numerically astute
- A strong communicator, able to provide opinion and advice to internal stakeholders; Compliance, Legal, Risk, Regional Management and Commercial on MA related topics
- Good working knowledge of DMA systems and Electronic Trading
- Previous experience within Clearing or Middle Office domain
- Basic working knowledge of Excel, Word, Internet and quote vendors
