Seeking a bright and experienced market analyst to join a commodities consultancy in London.
My client, global commodities management consultancy is seeking a market analyst to join their London team. The market analyst will conduct research and analysis looking at supply and demand factors across a range of soft product commodities. The role will include an understanding and contribution towards various forecasting models whilst also adding value to various consultancy projects when needed.
The market analyst will work with various business units within the company including sales, marketing and business development which will enable the development of your network internally and clientele (industry leaders) externally.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree Educated to at least Post-Graduate Level (Masters Degree), a PhD or equivalent qualification will be ideal.
- Degree is in a numerate / industry related subject, Economics, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics would be ideal.
- Knowledge and understand of Commodity Markets (Oil, Gas, Petrochemicals, Metals, Fertilizers or equivalent).
- Experience of at least 18 months with a focus on providing analysis within commodity markets.
- Spanish, Japanese, Chinese or Russian language skills would be advantageous.
- Strong IT Skills (Excel, VBA, Matlab, C++ are all ideal).
