Market Data Support Engineer (Basic Programming also needed) recruitment
The Company
Our client is a leading market making company that focuses on the trading of cash equities securities with several offices around the world. Due to expansion at its Hong Kong operations, the firm is currently looking to bring on board an highly talented and experienced market data support analyst to the team.
The Role
- Assist in the support or troubleshooting of market data related issues for the entire trading business
- Be able to communicate effectively and coordinate with external market data vendors (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc) for any market data connectivity issues on behalf of the firm, as well as dealing with in-house proprietary market data systems as well
Your Profile
- Have strong knowledge not only in the market data aspect of the role, but also have a sound and fundamental knowledge of the actual business aspect of the role, including understanding of asset class being traded
- Degree qualifications in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven work experience in mission critical environment providing services to the financial industry
- Programming experience in OO languages - preferably Java and/or C++
- Proficiency in basic Linux usage, tools, administration, scripting and other OS knowledge
- Only candidates available to work in Hong Kong will be considered
