The Job:
The Market Finance Manager plays a key role within the SF department of Mars Drinks North America by serving as the subject matter expert for financial matters within this unit and supporting the MDNA CFO with analysis and insights particularly regarding global Single Serve issues. The role is responsible for timely and accurate periodic and year-end reporting of the financial statements; periodic balance sheet reconciliation of each general ledger account; development, implementation and maintenance of internal control procedures related to NSV and all costs below MAC including overheads; and serving as the main contact with for external financial auditors. In addition, this position performs complex financial analysis, supporting the demand part of the business with ad-hoc calculations, and preparing the Mars Drinks North America Operating Plan and Replan according to Mars requirements. Lastly, the Market Finance Manager manages one junior financial analyst.
Principle Accountabilities:
·On a period basis, maintain and analyze all general ledger accounts for NSV, ACP, fixed costs, overheads and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for each account
·Design reports (of daily, weekly and periodic frequency) that will ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness in the following areas:
-Accurate trade expenditure accruals, cash discounts, reporting of GSI and Alterra web sales
-Warranty accruals
-ACP accruals and spend
-Fixed costs accruals and spend
-Weekly reconciliations of Gelco fixed expenses
-At least quarterly random audits of payroll balance sheet accounts
-Periodic reviews of cash accounts
·Responsible for timely and accurate Mars Drinks North America Operating Plan submissions
·Proactively develop and provide financial analysis for the demand team
·Manages, develops and coaches one associate (a junior financial analyst)
·Work on a daily basis with cash and intercompany accountant
·Support the Single Serve global business with standardized NSV and product category reports
·Support CFO with global analysis resulting in mid-term global Single Serve target shape
·Actively participate as a member of the Drinks Finance Leadership Team
·Support all budget holders with regular reports on actual performance versus Operating Plan
·Manage period-close process and year-end close process for above areas, including provide full support to auditors
· Support implementation of single-serve blueprint globally
· Recommend changes to simplify and continuously improve efficiency of current processes
· Maintain software which includes regular review of compliance to internal control procedures related to above areas
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

·Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
·Demonstrated financial accounting skills
·Minimum 5 years of related experience, including at least 3 of these years in a financial analyst role
