Market Research Manager –Pet Care

The responsibilities of the Pet Care Market Research Manager include:

1.    Ensuring the delivery of high quality global research on the Pet Care industry;

2.    Supporting and providing focus to global sales and account management teams;

3.    Working with the Communications team to develop our profile within the industry globally;

4.    Managing established research interaction and customisations for key clients.

This is an exciting and challenging role and one that will require:

·       Passion for the Pet Care industry as well as the broader Food industry;

·       Commercial awareness: an ability to translate the commercial needs of our clients and prospects into work we can deliver, either through enhancements to our offer or via customised research;

·       Research, data and delivery: the person appointed must be steadfast in their desire to ensure syndicated Pet Care and project customisations for key clients are of the highest quality and produced to deadline. A well-managed, hands-on approach to the research process from start to finish is essential;

·       Virtuous circle: the drive to fast forward the process of encouraging clients to engage with our research process and share their insights, to help improve the quality of what we deliver;

·       Commercial drive: a hunger for supporting account managers and client development globally to drive the revenue base, through sharing of industry knowledge.

 

The Pet Care Manager will report to the Head of Food Research.

 

Skills and Proficiencies Required

·       In-depth strategic knowledge of the global Pet Care industry;

·       Track record of high quality market research experience, with proven skills in research, interviewing, quantitative analysis and report writing;

·       Strong track record for commissioning research;

·       Commercial awareness;

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills;

·       Excellent presentation skills;

·       High level of numeracy;

·       Tenacity and keen attention to detail;

·       Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines;

·       First-rate organisational ability;

·       Team player;

·       Computer literacy to a high level in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

 

 

Salary and benefits

·       Competitive salary and bonus commensurate with experience of successful candidate.

·       20 days annual holiday, plus one day per year from year three of employment to maximum of 25 days.
