Market Risk – Business Analyst recruitment

The CRO Change team in London is looking for a Business Analyst to support front to back strategic process and systems change for the Market Risk (SRM IB) book of work. The ideal candidate will meet the defined attributes for the role and display a high degree of energy, enthusiasm and passion for change including the ability to pro-actively engage in solution design and definition.

The role involves

Business Analysis:

• Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle

• Gathering and documenting data and related business requirements including devising solutions to enhance controls and improve efficiencies e.g. metrics/data quality standards

• Facilitating prioritisation of work items

• Liaising with IT to define and monitor IT system solutions to support business change

• Co-ordinate testing: create test plans, define and manage UAT and manage defect tracking and resolution

• Managing user testing and acceptance of process and system change

• Defining and documenting procedures training, in conjunction with the line managers to support and control the new business processes and applications

Project Management:

• Manage delivery of defined project within time, cost and quality

• Engage / lead project working group / project team meetings

• Managing small to medium project phases independently – e.g. requirements analysis, user testing, managing of process change

• Record and track risks and issues and manage them through to completion

• Assisting with project controls and communications. E.g.: Regular updates and escalation of key issues and risks to the project manager.

• Drive priorities

• Track performance against project metrics

• Monitor project progress and communicate to senior management

• Educated to degree level

Qualifications

To qualify, you must possess:

• Educated to degree level

• Major in Finance, Accounting (Qualified accountant or equivalent e.g. MBA) or technical discipline

• Good financial markets and risk knowledge e.g. products, markets, risk practices

• 3 years + CFO or CRO line experience within the Financial Services sector or

• 2 years+ experience in the Financial Services sector in a change management / consulting role

• Experienced business analyst with proven project management and delivery ability

• Proven technology/data change experience in an investment or large commercial bank, accountancy or consultancy firm

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills - ability to identify cause and effect and approach problems and communicate results in a structured manner

• Proven track record of delivery of change initiatives with material systems content

• Prince II Qualified

• Six Sigma qualified

• Strong IT knowledge
