Market Risk Controller
Focusing on implementation of the Basel III Investment in Financial Institutions' capital deduction calculation and reporting process.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Regulatory rules, supporting the regulatory change environment and maintaining relationships with key Regulatory Controllers' stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building out and implementation of the Basel III Investment in Financial Institutions' (“IFI”) calculation and capital deduction process.
 - User acceptance testing.
 - Enhancing risk and control environment to minimize errors and inefficiencies.
 - Developing and documentation of key business processes and roles-and-responsibilities within team.
 - Building strong relations with internal Regulatory Controller colleagues and key external stakeholders including Market Risk Department, Market Risk Controllers, Operations, and other Finance teams.
 - Ensuring regular communication and information transparency to key stakeholders.
 
Skills Required
- Degree qualification required.
 - Proven ability to perform data analysis on large volumes of data, draw themes and key issues and communicate meaningful findings.
 - Attention to detail.
 - Ability to manage time and prioritise deliverables effectively.
 - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 - Strong MS Excel, MS Powerpoint skills.
 - Awareness and ability to identify and manage risks and develop control environment.
 
Skills Desired
• FSA regulatory reporting experience, awareness and understanding of market risk capital charges.
• Understanding of trading book and banking book capital approaches.
