Market Risk Manager – Credit Products – Asset Management recruitment
The ideal candidate will become a key member of the Market Risk team for the credit-sensitive Asset Management portfolios. You will monitor the exposures limits of these credit asset portfolios, to capture changes in positions, pricing underlying risks. You will also identify and communicate to Senior Management the key risks associated with specific trading strategies and positions.

Responsibilities include:
- Understanding trends and developments in global markets which could impact the business.
- Providing actionable feedback on events, positions and issues which impact the risk profile of these portfolios.
- Maintaining a continuous and effective dialogue with the CIO Office, Group Treasury and the external portfolio managers.
- Contributing actively to the formal risk management venues
- Provide input where required into Model Validation Price Verification Committees and to other workstreams of the Financial Risk Management team, including the Rates team.
Skills needed:
- Experience in fixed income risk management, fixed income trading or fixed income quantitative analysis with an emphasis on credit-risky markets.
- A detailed and wide-ranging knowledge of fixed income products and their risk and pricing characteristics.
- Quantitative degree in Finance, Economics or Mathematics.
- Relevant post-graduate or professional qualifications will be an advantage.
- Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal – with all levels of the firm and across departments and the ability to work effectively in small teams.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, basic VBA programming and the ability to use the firm's risk managements database and reporting systems will be required. Additional programming skills will be advantageous.
- Practical knowledge of third-party risk management platforms will be beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and able to multi-task; must be proacative and have high levels of drive/energy.
