Market Risk – Project Manager – VP recruitment

Main Function

As a Project Manager for the Market Risk Technology programme in Singapore, the candidate should be capable of managing project deliveries through the entire life-cycle, where the important stakeholders could be regionally dispersed.

The candidate would need to collaborate with knowledgeable and demanding stakeholders to establish project plans for major/minor initiatives and drive efforts to a successful conclusion. He/ She would be required to co-ordinate with global development teams where required to ensure that project deliveries are integrated with the various other development streams to deliver consistent and efficient process/platform enhancements, providing hands-on support and issue escalation as needed.

Main Duties

ï‚•  Manage and deliver projects using innovative technology solutions to solve complex business problems in the context of a strategic commercial framework
ï‚•  Manage multiple workstreams in parallel.

ï‚•  Specific Project Management tasks:

* Manage and own the development project plan, from design definition and specification through to deployment and handover to business lines
* Liaise with the Market Risk Change team to ensure smooth transition of requirements to developments
* Clarify the key deliverables with a milestone plan and identify clear responsibilities of who, when and what will be delivered; ensure all areas of the project are appropriately staffed
* Ensure the management of project workstreams: Lead, guide and assist other team members, ensure quality and timeliness of delivery and assist in use and enhancement of team methodologies.
* Ensure all work meets prescribed standards in design and quality.
* Escalate project risks to the Project Director, or Project Sponsor, when appropriate
* Provide solution vision within the design and architecture processes

 Specific Communication tasks:
* Communicate directly with business analysts and project managers, understanding detailed business requirements at all stages of the development lifecycle
* Communicate effectively with business users to gain an in-depth understanding of new requirements and minor system changes
* Communicate effectively with external and internal IT development teams
* Work closely with global development team members in Singapore, Pune, London, Kyiv and New York - participating in and contributing to technical discussions
* During all stages, maintaining coherent and concise communications detailing the scope, progress and results of initiatives underway

Functional Requirements:

* Excellent understand of Market Risk, Valuation, VAR Calculation, Monitoring of Risk, Basel III / 2.5.
* Should have very good Industry Updates
* Should have very good experience and knowledge with Any Asset Classes.

ï‚•  Product business process knowledge
ï‚•  Large-scale project management

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

ï‚•  Technical or business academic credentials preferred, professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM or PMP looked at favourably
