Position Summary: The Marketing and Communications Director is responsible for managing the successful implementation of comprehensive communications strategies for the St. Paul JCC. Responsibilities include: overseeing the Center’s publications, marketing and branding; creation, planning and implementation of innovative communications strategies; building our brand and reinforcing our mission; developing and implementing initiatives for effective use of social media; showcasing the St. Paul JCC as a significant presence in the Jewish and greater community with the goal of increasing participation in our programs. This position is 30-40 hours per week and reports to the Assistant Director.
· Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field
· Previous experience in marketing, communications or public relations; nonprofit marketing/communications experience preferred
· Proven success in meeting strategic and communication goals
· Demonstrated ability to develop innovative marketing strategies
· Strong organizational, administrative, communication and project management skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment
· Knowledge of the St. Paul Jewish community preferred
· Graphic design experience preferred
· Experience in web development preferred
· Experience in supervising staff
· Experience with web publishing tools or other graphics edit software
· Proficient with MS Office
· Lead the comprehensive marketing and communications for the St. Paul JCC in coordination with executive leadership and the program staff team
· Oversee the creation and delivery of all print publications: monthly newsletter, Annual Report, Summer Camps Guide, program brochures and promotional materials
· Promote all JCC programs: PR calendar for the year, outline media strategies for event coverage, create press kits and releases, develop and nurture relationships with media outlets
• Responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of strategic social media and digital
initiatives
• Responsible for Search Engine Optimization for website and other forms of web analysis
• Manage the communications team
· Train and support all program staff in the implementation of the Marketing process
Additional tasks:
· Responsible for budgeting, participation in staff training, weekly staff meetings and supervisory conferences, staff ad-hoc committees and special events.
