MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER (CONTRACT) recruitment
The successful candidate will lead the marketing and PR function across all appropriate distribution channels to drive new business volumes and promote the services of the Company to appropriately segmented target markets. The role holder must do so in a way which meets client and adviser needs and is profitable for the Company.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work with the Marketing Director to develop a customer/adviser-centric and fully integrated Company Marketing Strategy Plan.
- Work with the Marketing Director and marketing team to define, develop and implement an Annual Marketing Communications Plan to help deliver the marketing strategy, ensuring full buy in across the Company.
- Work with the Platform Proposition Manager to develop and implement a PR strategy as part of the annual marketing planning process.
- Define, develop and implement a customer retention strategy.
- Manage multiple marketing communications campaigns across diverse channels to promote the products and services of the Company to appropriately segmented target markets and ensure they are delivered on time, to quality and within budget.
- Analyse return on investment and the effectiveness of marketing campaigns delivered, taking actions where required to deliver to stated objectives and improve future campaign performance.
- Design and co-ordinate client communications including direct mail, e-direct mail, email, offline and online/digital advertising, regulatory mailings, customer application packs, welcome letters, process-based communications/outputs, brochures and promotional literature.
- Work with the various sectors of the Company as required to support the delivery of marketing initiatives to the customer base through the retail brand.
- Work with the Marketing Communications Manager to co-ordinate product literature updates as required in response to regulatory and internal process changes. Ensure literature remains up to date and reflects current Company initiatives.
- Work with the Marketing Communications Manager to develop regular publications to support the Investment Trusts Services function.
- Work with the Operations and Sales teams to develop an end to end view of the customer journey to ensure the overall customer experience is exceptional.
- Work closely with internal design, print and web teams and external agencies where required on the production of literature, website and campaign material.
- Ensure a consistent and correct representation of the Company brand across all literature and communications.
- Responsible for the ownership of the FSA Register and for ensuring all communications produced are FSA compliant.
- Deputise for the Marketing Director as required.
- Ensure all communications and product literature are FSA compliant and meet the regulations.
- Do this by having a thorough understanding of the regulations themselves and also current issues within the regulatory environment.
- Adhere to Data Protection Act at all times.
- Adhere to any other legislation relevant to the activity, for example the Distance Marketing
- Directive or the Electronic Communications Directive, as required.
- Ensure all work is appropriately signed off by any relevant business areas, legal teams and the Compliance function using the agreed sign-off procedure.
- Report both to their line manager and the Risk Manager, any actual operational risk events or ‘near misses’ that occur.

Core Requirements:
- Proven track record in marketing communications and/or PR experience within the financial services industry, either on the agency or client side.
- An appropriate marketing qualification.
- Experience in managing and motivating people.
- Experience in driving measurable results through online marketing campaigns.
