                                         MARKETING COORDINATOR

                               

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the over all growth and development of the Marketing and Business Development department of the credit union. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in developing, coordinating, and implementing promotional activities, special events, and direct mail programs aimed at maximizing product sales and services to members.

Design and create all marketing pieces including statement inserts, newsletters, brochures, etc., while ensuring brand consistency in graphical elements and utilize color and typeface standards.

Responsible for reviewing and maintaining web content; staying apprised of web technologies for possible inclusion into the website which include researching alternate web sites/newsletters/online sponsorship opportunities.

Work directly with members and representatives of SEG's and sponsor groups to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area.

Aggressively identify, schedule, and participate in business development opportunities.

Develop and coordinate distribution of internal marketing communications (marketing memos, emails, reports, etc.).

Obtain bids for all phases of the production of marketing materials, including typesetting, printing, graphic design, special events, etc.

Participate in market research activities and report as necessary; including member surveys, competitive surveys, rate and fee surveys, and competitor information.

Perform cost-benefit analysis and ROI calculations for proposed and completed projects/promotions.

Ensure proper maintenance of the marketing department record, preparing budget reports and campaign material. Assist in preparing budget reports for Credit Union events and giveaways.

Promote Credit Union image and growth in the local community through participation in organizations and programs.

Assume leadership role/coordinate internal and external Credit Union promotional programs/activities/events, which may require working after / non-business hours.

Perform other such functions that might be needed from time to time; assists others to complete tasks and work assignments.


KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university or two year previous related experience in the marketing industry.

Ability to present information and respond to questions from manager or groups of managers, staff, members, and the general public. Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructions, procedures and regulations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Two years PC experience including Word, Excel, and other Microsoft applications, as well as strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Flash are REQUIRED.
