Role purpose:
As member of the Pipe marketing team, the primary function is to coordinate marketing activities plans, manage market intelligence and exercise good marketing controlling across the Pipe applications. A key focus is to actively search and provide cross application market data competitor information, run consolidated application reporting within the BU, support event and promotion initiatives as well as involvement in special marketing projects.
The Application Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the BU Marketing Manager, the Application Marketing Managers, Marketing Communications, the Pipe Technical Service and Sales teams.Some travel must be expected. The position is located in Vienna, Austria and will report to the Marketing Manager Pipe.
Contribution
- Give input to and coordinate our application strategies, marketing and promotion plans
- Manage interface of Pipe towards Marketing Communications regarding Pipe including fairs and other internal and external events
- Support of the Marketing Manager in terms of internal and external communication, case studies etc.
- Organisation, co-ordination and realisation of events such as Customer ‘Action Days, Pipe Training and others
- Managing webpage, intranet, sharepoint etc. for Business Unit Pipe and manage data related to all Business Unit Pipe related activities
- Contribute strongly to target setting and follow-up by challenging in an open environment
- Perform pipe market and industry analysis, organise internal market studies evaluate with external sources
- Analyse and present information on competitors, customers, end-users and decision makers
- Manage existing pipe data management systems and design databases/reports to provide high quality information for knowledge sharing across the BU and other relevant functions
- Coordinate general cross segment pipe promotion activities (eg K-fair, Plastic Pipes Conference, etc) and maintain a close link to the Marketing Communications group
- Support the development and roll out of our marketing excellence tools
- Participate in special Borealis projects by providing commercial and marketing viewpoint
- Admin and project support of the MM such as meeting preparation, travel-related, presentations, support in event and meeting co-ordination and realisation and where applicable “content” input
Knowledge, skills and experience
- University degree or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in a commercial or marketing environment
- Good project management skills
- Ability to acquire technical understanding of products, applications and innovation
- Understanding of market structures and influencing factors
- Good understanding of strategy
- Excellent internal and external networking and presentation skills
- Excellent in compiling and presenting data in order to facilitate decision making
- Excellent in IT tools, SAP and database management
- Fluency in English and German, additional language such as French or Spanish a big plus
- Hands-on attitude, flexible also in terms of taking over tasks which might exceed the job description

Other information
We offer a competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement starting at EUR 30,030,-
annual gross salary. In addition we offer role specific compensation, a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan.
