Job Purpose:

To optimise the marketing strategy, execution plan budget to align with business goals and deliver the annual sales and value plan.

To be part of a centre of excellence that provides expert guidance to the business and product teams on the appropriate design and mix of customer acquisition and management campaigns to achieve account sales targets, and drive profitability.

To deliver customer management and acquisition campaigns across multiple media channels.

To support the senior marketing manger in leading the retail marketing team.

Job Background/context:

The marketing manager will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and will be responsible for the development of the marketing strategy including planning and execution of customer management and acquisition campaigns across multiple media channels.

The scope of the role includes working closely with product, sales and distribution, external agencies and vendors in addition to other business teams.

The UK retail business is a profitable one and will be looking to grow in coming years with the development of products and services that meet the needs of our high net worth customers with international banking needs.

The person who occupies this marketing management role has the opportunity to play a key role in the future development of the UK business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning
Development and delivery of the rolling marketing plan by advising on marketing mix, channels, costs, schedules and campaign metrics.
2. Campaign management and execution
Overall management and execution of all aspects of campaign activity to achieve the annual sales and value plan for the business.
Managing and directing the creative process to deliver compelling customer propositions that drive awareness consideration of Citi products aimed at our high net worth customers with international banking needs.
Briefing the customer data teams in the formulation and execution of campaigns.
Accurate delivery of all servicing related campaigns required in a heavily regulated environment.
3. Campaign analysis and reporting
Providing marketing performance and campaign MI to support business reporting.
4. Vendor management
Effective and efficient supplier management and relationship building to meet commercial needs of the business.
5. Budget management
Effective management of capital expenditure to deliver campaign and marketing activity on budget.
Optimisation of the marketing budget through improving processes and working practices.
6. Compliance and regulatory
Manage the internal sign off process for all communication activity in line with Financial Promotions requirements.
Be responsible for ensuring all communications meet regulatory and legal requirements including but not limited to FSA, Banking Code, CCA and TCF.
7. Competitor Analysis
Keep up to date with competitor activity, pricing and innovations in the UK and EMEA.
8. People Management
Development of a high performance marketing team with appropriate skills and capabilities.

Skills

Knowledge/Experience:

- Financial services marketing experience with particular emphasis on developing marketing plans to deliver business goals.
- Extensive campaign management experience across both acquisition and customer management programmes.
- Strong commercial and financial management experience.

Qualifications:

- Educated to degree level
