CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The Marketing Manager – e-Commerce is responsible for managing and growing Mead Consumer Office Products (MCOP) e-commerce business including www.ataglance.com, www.dayrunner.com, and www.mead.com/shop . Responsible for the development and implementation of direct marketing and web site strategies intended to market direct to consumer products and ensure web site quality standards for marketing plans, content and appearance. This role will also drive and execute e-marketing tactics from initiation to implementation with emphasis on analytics, email, social, Search Engine Optimizer, and content management of the web properties. In addition, they will be responsible for developing and implementing the direct/digital/online marketing strategy, manage product selection, pricing strategy, promotions and partnership opportunities that achieve and complement company goals and objectives.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV
- Develops strategic direct marketing plans and programs for the direct business, both short and long range, to ensure the profitable growth and expansion of company products and services in support of company’s business plan.
- Works with brand teams and e-commerce merchandising teams to grow revenue through direct channels (including e-commerce, mobile, catalog, mail, and call center) while enhancing the consumer experience across channels.
- Assures utilization of other organization resources (e.g. research, marketing, partner agencies, etc.) to support marketing efforts.
- Recommend changes in direct business strategies to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives assigned to it and provide the flexibility to move swiftly in relation to marketing problems and opportunities.
- Leads development teams including developing budgets for projects, monitoring costs, and providing status reports to management.
- Work with other departments in developing the product strategy/selection for the direct business
- Establish marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of the direct business.
- Identify, develop, and implement promotional opportunities that creatively and cost effectively generate new direct business. Define advertising and public relations strategies for the direct business in support of company brand building objectives
- Work withoutside partners and vendors for ongoing miscellaneous projectsto achieve departmental/company goals.
- Maintain and communicate Company brand, usage, and sub-brand strategies to ensure consistency, maximum consumer exposure and awareness via e-commerce channel.
- Provides leadership and supervision to direct staff.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- BS in Marketing/related field, Masters preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive management experience in Marketing, with at least 8 years experience in direct marketing and ecommerce web marketing tools and techniques.
- E-commerce, Direct mail, email and catalog, phone, fulfillment, mobile and database marketing experience required.
- Strong management skills. Ability to motivate and lead direct reports and teams.
- Must be able to work closely with executive management.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation skills required.
- Must have experience with a company that has multiple lines of business and product categories; ability to manage the redesign of a website; develop stronger SEO techniques; implement email campaigns and drive a greater volume of traffic to the website; monitor web site visitor patterns and adjusts strategies as appropriate.
- Previously demonstrated creative problem-solving capabilities a plus.
- Approximately 30% travel is required.
