Marketing Manager – Funds recruitment
The main function of the position involves developing, executing and managing integrated marketing and communication activities. The role’s particular focus is on proactively supporting my client’s businesses in the UK and Europe acting as the principal day-to-day contact in Marketing.
The role-holder will be adept at originating content for materials on the company’s products/ services and the company as a whole, positioning them based on very strong understanding of investments and asset management. He or she also ensures that all activities undertaken consider the impact on existing marketing collateral, events and other activities of the business lines and the wider business to facilitate alignment. The role-holder also has involvement in intra-regional and global projects as opportunities arise.
Main duties:
- Draft, edit, proof-read, update and ensure compliance of content for marketing materials including sales flyers, more in-depth investment-process documents, brochures, micro-sites, conference materials and other types of written marketing collateral.
- Support and project-manage well-structured marketing plans for both existing products and new product launches using tools across the traditional marketing mix - advertising, events, public relations, publications, presentations, RFP text and multi-media.
- Represent Marketing as appropriate in regular meetings with sales and other business units; disseminating information and priorities to key stakeholders, and keeping the Head of Sales Marketing informed of other team’s requirements and activities.
- Guide, manage and oversee the execution of the marketing strategy, differentiating approaches to ensure they are appropriate to the different target markets and target client-bases.
- Ensure marketing initiatives and output are leveraged across geographies and teams wherever possible, putting in place frameworks to improve co-ordination where possible.
- Actively participate in the annual budgeting process and half-yearly budget reviews to help prioritise the marketing spend.
- Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to corporate marketing teams on products, the aspirations/requirements from various business areas.
- Provide ad hoc support to various teams and intra-regional and global projects as opportunities arise.
Candidate requirements:
- Relevant experience in the asset management sector; particularly channel marketing in the UK retail/discretionary space.
- Project management experience.
- IMC pass or similar desirable.
- Strong understanding of the different marketing disciplines and their applications.
- Good project manager with the ability to deliver within tight deadlines and to budget.
- Able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Desire to develop new skills and investment knowledge.
- Organised and flexible, able to work on several tasks simultaneously.
