Under general direction of the Director, Marketing, is responsible for development, management and implementation of the Alcoa Architectural Products (AAP) brand and Building and Construction Systems (BCS) North America (NA) bundle (Kawneer, Traco, Reynobond ) marketing programs and initiatives to enhance brand image through a variety of media including but not limited to websites, video, digital marketing, social media, mobile marketing, webinars, trade shows/events, presentations, advertising, PR, sponsorships, collateral, etc. This is a hand on role, requiring strong project management and writing capabilities with solid, design sense.
The incumbent will:
- Work with inside and outside resources to develop and execute marketing communications initiatives to support the marketing plan/objectives with emphasis on the AAP brand and BCS NA bundle.
- Develops, manages and executes programs to support Corporate Identity (CID) branding as well as increased focus on architectural promotion - print and digital as well as planning and implementation of vertical trade shows and events.
- Manages day-to-day activity with PR, press and advertising/marketing communications agencies related to the AAP brand. Drafts creative briefs for new programs and product launch activities.
- Serves as Product Marketing liaison with Engineering to produce/manage and publish technical/promotional literature for AAP product portfolio.
- Manages AAP customer and key influencer marketing databases.
- Manages and executes BCS online/digital presence with emphasis on the AAP brand/website. In addition to writing, editing, and content management, works closely with technical, product development, and marketing members to recommend and generate content on a regular basis, so strong communication/writing skills are needed.
- Initiates, writes, edits customer bulletins, eBlasts and other communications as needed to support product launches and other corporate needs.
- Develops PowerPoint presentations for industry events/product launches.
- Supports national trade show initiatives and events.
- Provides budget support and tracks ongoing expenditures relative to assigned projects, assisting in development of marketing spend forecasts and annual budget planning.
- Position requires strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Participates in the development and execution of special assignments to support company objectives as determined by Director, Marketing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related discipline and 5+ years experience in a marketing or customer facing role in a business to business environment
- Positive attitude, strong team player with a balance of creative and analytic aptitude
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle tight deadlines and excel in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills including writing experience with a technical slant
- Solid knowledge of marketing principles and marketing communications including digital marketing channels.
- Strong computer/technology skills with a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Publisher and Adobe Creative Suite - Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and HTML
