POSITION OVERVIEW

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing marketing plans focused on brand awareness and client acquisition and executing against these plans. Key marketing channels include conferences, website, email and social media. Daily activities will include development of marketing assets across channels and market research to inform the company’s competitive positioning. This position reports to the Chief Product Officer.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

§ Minimum of three years of progressive responsibility in a marketing role. Experience creating marketing plans and executing against them is required.

§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Writing samples are required.

§ Web and office software 101 skills: a solid understanding and experience with all Microsoft Office products (especially Excel PowerPoint), social media, email marketing and content management.

§ Organization and project management: the ideal candidate is an extreme self-starter who gets the big picture and communicates well in a cross-functional position as they get things done.

§ Strong analytic, strategic and creative problem solving skills; ability to function both independently and as part of a team; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

§ Experience with Photoshop, Google Adwords, SEO and Google Analytics is a plus.

§ Undergraduate degree preferred. B2B entertainment industry experience is a plus, but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will work closely with the Etix management team, ensuring that the company’s marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals. Specifically, the Marketing Manager will:

 

§ Maintain regular customer communications through ongoing website, email marketing, Facebook and Twitter communications.

§ Coordination with Sales team on the management of the customer acquisition process.

§ Maintenance and regular hygiene of the client contacts database through SalesForce.

§ Assistance with planning and execution of presence at customer events, conferences and tradeshows.

§ PR activities: writing press releases, cultivating press relationships, ensuring media coverage, etc.

§ Assistance with the development and localization of proposals, presentations and other sales collateral.

§ Additional activities will be assigned based on need, aptitude and ability.
