Project Quantity Surveyor – M&E (Decent Homes: Boiler Installations) Job in East London, London UK
My client is a leading name in reactive maintenance working in partnership or on a measured term contract basis with many of London and the surrounding counties social landlords. They have developed a strong reputation for delivery and value and maintaining a professional approach at all times.
They have an immediate requirement for a Project Quantity Surveyor to take full financial responsibility for the Mechanical and Electrical elements of a £multimillion per annum Reactive Maintenance Void Refurbishment contract.
This includes: Boiler Installations, Electrical Upgrades, TRV’s (Thermal Radiators Valves), CCTV / Door Entry Systems, Passenger Lifts, Lateral Mains, Dry Risers etc.
Duties:
- Preparation and production of measured quotation works
- Ascertain costs for using of schedules of rates including NHF
- Monitor and control the performance of sub-contractors and suppliers in relation to the delivery of contracts
- Preparation of contract cost value reconciliations
- Timely and accurate applications for payment compliant with the contract.
- Ensure Cash Management is effective.
- Maintaining Risk Management processes and procedures.
- Contractual correspondence
- Preparing accurate and prudent cost /value analysis.
- Budget preparation
- Approving Interim and Final account measurement
- Approving Pricing and Rating variations
- Obtaining appropriate Extension of Time
- Management, interim and final account agreement of sub-contracts
- Good quality and accurate record keeping
You will be qualified to HNC level or have a Quantity Surveying Degree and must have experience of delivering the above ME elements on a large Social Housing / Decent Homes contract priced on NHF schedule of rates.
On offer for the successful ME Project Quantity Surveyor is a highly competitive salary of up to £40,000 (dependant on experience) as well as other fringe benefits including car/car allowance.
