Job Description

You are an experienced Marketing Manager who thrives on challenge and is ready to join a dynamic organisation. You will enjoy working as part of a team and are comfortable working within tight reporting timeframes. Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Regional Director Australia, PNG and Pacific Islands, you will be a senior member of the management team. Your key responsibility will be designing and implementing policies and strategies across Australia and other nearby markets. In addition you will be part of the global Marketing group and some of your duties will be:

• Analysis of markets, competitors and technology trends
• Planning the future demand for our products and services in coordination with the sales team to provide regular forecasts to our plants and operations
• Management of several key clients and contracts
• Product management to determine, prioritize and implement key product initiatives for existing and new product lines
• Branding support of the company’s goods and services
• Development and implementation of a long term marketing strategy

In this role, you will ensure strict adherence to global policies and best practice principles. This position requires strong commercial and financial understanding of managing projects and budgets.

The Successful Applicant

• A minimum of 10 years experience in marketing within the explosives industry, preferably with product and / or service providers to the mining industry
• A demonstrated ability to work with other departments such as sales, operations, manufacturing, finance or research development
• Tertiary qualifications in business administration or engineering
• A high level of enthusiasm, passion and energy
• A practical customer-focused problem solving ability
• A hands on approach and high degree of self motivation
• An ability to professionally work in a culturally diversified environment
• Pro active, time committed and results oriented
• Strong leadership skills with a positive and dynamic team approach
• Impeccable ethics and a transparent approach to business
