Sales - Account Executive - Oil Gas Industry

 

 

Position Summary:

 

This position is to develop a territory execution plan to initiate relationships by first identifying decision maker and key influencers in target accounts.  Will develop and implement sales strategies, forecasts sales volumes and track progress for closure.    Other duties may be assigned as needed.

 

Essential Functions

 

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

 

·         Establish and maintain a daily, weekly and monthly task schedule with min/max goals to communicate activities electronically or hard copy journal available for review.

·         Call on prospective clients - activities to include phone prospecting, sales visits, (scheduled and cold calling) customer training (onsite and remote), networking venues and reasonable entertainment.

·         Be able to operate a vehicle.  Must have a valid driver license and provide proof of insurance coverage.

·         Stay up to date with the latest events in oil and gas by attending events and exhibitions.

·         Maintain demo equipment that is deployable within minutes to demonstrate OleumTech capabilities and integration with 3rd party devices common to respective territory.

·         Maintain home office infrastructure equipped with latest internet connection, webcam and remote training tools with a view to be operational within minutes.

·         Maintain business cards in CardScan

·         Add value to the group and be a resource by communicating and sharing examples of both sales and technical success/failure stories and challenges on a weekly basis.

·         Maintain a reliable communications mechanism with internal personnel to ensure efforts are in line with objectives.

·         Generate and develop new distribution partners in order to sell products to end users.

·         Expand existing customer within the territory and build the customer organization.

·         Call on prospective distributors, providing technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quotes appropriate customer prices.

·         Manage quoting process, contracts for potential customers.

·         Maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations.

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. 3-5 years of work experience in the gas and oil industry.

·         Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.

·         Flexible, creative, and ability to work in a non-structured developing work environment.

·         Demonstrated capacity to think “out side the box”, communicate and motivate customers on the company’s products, programs and new ideas.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint

·         Excellent oral/written communication skills, including well-developed presentation skills.

·         Excellent customer relationship skills
