MARKETING PLANNING
This is a 3 month rolling contract position, with the potential for a senior permanent role which could span a range of international marketing activities.
Working directly with the front office, product specialist, client relationship managers, sales teams, and the wider marketing team, the role involves helping to build and execute integrated marketing plans and shaping key communications to meet business objectives.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to support the launch of a range of funds under an umbrella structure. Knowledge of Germany, Switzerland, and Nordic markets preferred, in fund distribution and or wealth management propositions.
- Work with Distribution teams to identify priority strategies and markets
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns utilising the full mix of marketing capabilities including market research, marketing analytics, RFPs, investment writing, creative and design, advertising, communication, events and digital.
- Liaise with Group PR to develop PR strategies and support for the regional activities and plans
- Work across marketing teams to project manage agreed deliverables
- Develop promotional strategies for raising the firm's profile in the respective regions, utilising product and capability messages and drawing on the the firm's value proposition and the group brand.
This is a senior marketing role and the candidate is expected to work without extensive support. Significant marketing experience in running integrated marketing functions and promotional activities is required. Additional language skills will be beneficial. The majority of activities and communications will be conducted in English but we will be building a multilingual capability to service individual market requirements.
Suitable candidates will have:
- Marketing planning experience in international financial services/ asset management/wealth management
- Project management and team management experience
- Experience managing a budget – taking into account sales and retention targets, marketing processes and procedures and ensure activities stay within budget
- Ability to understand complex markets and product sets simply communicate them to a wide variety of internal and external clients
- Experienced in integrated marketing planning for new markets, planning techniques and selection of marketing tools to meet ROI and ROO.
- Campaign measurement
- Sound understanding of Investment and/or wealth management industry, financial markets, products and services
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Project management methodologies
- A self-starter with outstanding marketing planning skills.
- A team player willing to get involved in all aspects of the business.
- Good project management skills
- Able to communicate confidently with investment professionals
- Experience supporting new business start ups
- Understanding of ongoing developments in the international asset management/wealth management arena.
- Strong investment knowledge of investment strategies and markets, including equities, bonds, derivatives and the management of hedge funds.
